Olivia Baackes

Hi there! My name’s Olivia and I’m so excited to be IRHC President this year. I’m a junior in the Gallatin School studying the Politics of Social Change and Inequality, freshly transferred from the Tisch School where I spent my first year and a half at NYU studying Musical Theater. As an Albany native, my interest in politics comes naturally. I started my IRHC ‘career’ as President of Third Avenue Government freshman year, and last year I was the Programming Co-Chair on IRHC. I’ve spent the last two summers on the IRHC Summer Staff planning for Welcome Week. To sum it up, IRHC can’t get rid of me. When I’m not at the IRHC office, I’m watching “Parks and Recreation” or “Modern Family”, listening to Adele, or planning the next 6 years of my life.
